Rain Postpones Completion of Sycamore Event

MAPLE PARK, IL — June 14, 2019 — Evening showers in Maple Park, Illinois forced DIRTcar and track officials to postpone completion of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals event on Friday night. All Features will be run after the Modified Last Chance Showdown on the rescheduled date, soon to be announced, during the second week in July.

 

Ticketholders should keep tickets and pit passes for the rescheduled date.

A Night of Firsts, Spalding Scores

KANKAKEE, IL — June 13, 2019 — Curt Spalding scored his first-ever Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals win during the tour opener at Kankakee County Speedway. The Watervliet, MI racer secured the $1,000 payday leading the Feature flag-to-flag from the outside pole. Will Krup finished second after a hard fought battle with Frank Marshall, who completed the podium; and twelfth starting Jeffrey Ledford and Nick Allen rounded out the top five.

Rain Postpones Hell Tour Opener

CONCORD, NC — June 12, 2019 — Afternoon showers throughout the area have forced DIRTcar and track officials to postpone the DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals kickoff event at Peoria Speedway tonight. The most grueling dirt racing tours on the planet will now kickoff tomorrow, Thursday, June 13, at Kankakee County Speedway. The Peoria Speedway event has been rescheduled for June 26.

CONCORD, NC — December 4, 2018 — The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals tour will span June 12 to July 27, including 27 events over 32 consecutive days. A new two-race weekend, July 19-20, at Cedar Ridge Speedway in Kentucky will serve as a prelude to the championship finale July 26-27 at Fairbury American Legion Speedway.

FAIRBURY, IL — July 28, 2018 — The 2018 Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals concluded on Saturday, July 28th as part of the 29th annual Prairie Dirt Classic presented by Bank of Pontiac. The fast quarter-mile of Fairbury American Legion Speedway (IL), located northeast of Bloomington in Fairbury, IL, was the site of a dramatic, history-making weekend for the UMP Modifieds. Coming into the weekend, Mike McKinney led five-time defending Tour Champion Mike Harrison by just four points in the chase for the Championship.
